MYSTICAL HEART OF CHRISTIANITY:
MOVING BEYOND LITERALISM

Today, Christianity is impaled on the horns of a dilemma. On the one hand, there is fundamentalism, which says the Bible is literally true. On the other hand, there is liberalism, which says that while the Bible was meant to be taken literally, it is little more than a confused jumble of legends mixed in with some true facts. Which is right?

Both perspectives fail to recognize the depth of understanding that can be found in Christianity.

Fortunately, there is a third way. It says that much of the Bible—including the Gospels—was never meant to be taken literally, but was written as a way of pointing to certain truths about spiritual life and awakening. This approach is known as esoteric Christianity. It is spoken of
in the Gospels, in the Epistles of Paul, in the Gnostic texts, and in the writings of Christian mystics throughout the ages.

Through lectures, discussions, and practices, participants in this conference will explore some of the key ideas of esoteric Christianity and will be able to experience its inner truths for themselves.

This will be an exciting and groundbreaking event. Participants will not only learn and practice the teachings of esoteric Christianity but also help shape the discussion of how it could alleviate some of the dysfunction evident in religion today.

Come join us for a stimulating exploration of an ancient yet eternally fresh way to understand the Christian approach to spirit!
