National Dues
National dues are payable in advance and must accompany the printed application. Make checks payable to the Theosophical Society in America or supply credit card information. Current membership dues are as follows:
Member of the Theosophical Society in America
($45.00 per year)
Applicants seeking membership in the Society without also joining one of its lodges or study centers are designated members-at-large and must forward the application, with dues, to the National Secretary at the address on the top of the application form.
Member of the National Lodge
For more information about the National Lodge, go to the NATIONAL LODGE page.
Member of a local branch or study center
($45.00 + applicable local dues.)
To belong to a local group, you must first belong to the national Society. An officer of the local group must sign your application form and mail both your application form and your Society dues to the National Secretary.
Local groups often have local dues in addition to Society dues. To join the national Society and a local group, submit your application form and your dues (Society dues of $45.00 plus any applicable local dues) to a group in your area. For information about where such groups are located, contact the National Secretary at natsec@theosophical.org.
To browse through the listings of local lodges and study centers, please go to Lodges and Study Centers pages.
Student under the age of 25
($24.00 per year)
Whether applying as a member of a local group or as a member-at-large, a student applicant must provide the National Secretary with a copy of the student I.D. that displays the dates for which the student status is valid.
