Volunteer

Volunteer opportunities abound at the National Center of the Theosophical Society in America.

Members and friends who live within easy driving distance to Wheaton, Illinois are invited to deepen their Theosophical commitment by being part of the National Center's volunteer program. From one-time help to an ongoing commitment - your skills, experience, interest and participation are needed and very welcome.

Service possibilities are waiting in the Henry S. Olcott Memorial Library, the Theosophical Publishing House, Quest Book Shop, and departments such as Member Services, Public Programming, Accounting, Information and Maintenance. Working on Olcott's extensive grounds provides unique opportunities for interacting with nature.

Job Opportunities

Quest Books, an independent publisher of nonfiction works that facilitate spiritual growth and healing, is seeking a publicist (some experience preferred) to develop and execute national publicity campaigns for 10-12 titles per year. You will have the opportunity to work on a beautiful 40-acre campus, interact with fascinating authors, and promote meaningful books of high quality. The qualified candidate will generate publicity strategies; create and distribute press materials; coordinate author tours; seek out and maintain contact with TV and radio producers and book review editors; and pitch to national and local TV, radio, print and electronic media. We are looking for someone with strong pitching techniques, who can produce creative media hooks. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently is required.
