Tibet Pigrimage June 2

  • After breakfast we said goodbye to Shigatse and left on an all- day drive to Lhasa, with a side visit to the Turquoise Lake.
  • We picniced beside the lake at some 16,500 feet above sea level. The site offers exquisite views of the Turquoise Lake and surrounding mountain ranges, with glaciers in the background. This is one of the four most sacred lakes in Tibet
  • We arrived in Lhasa in the late afternoon, and after checking into the Khechu Hotel went for an early evening walkaround of the Barkhor (Middle Circle) around the Jokhang.
