In the morning we made pilgrimage to the Potala Palace, that had been built by the Fifth Dalai Lama on the old castle erected by Songtsen Gampo in the mid-seventh century. Although the government is a bit strict with activities in the Potala, we were allowed to sit for meditation in the main assembly hall, thanks to the kindness of the soldier on duty.
After lunch in the Donyou Restaurant we made pilgrimage to Ani Sangkhu Nunnery. Again we were allowed to sit in meditation while they performed their chanting.
