Through instructor dialogue, onscreen visuals, engaging and illustrative stories, live demonstrations and question-and-answer sessions, Paul will lead you through the basics of the Tarot. Discover the Tarot as an intuitive tool to access your inner wisdom and guidance, and nurture your growth.* Learn the core concepts and guidelines for starting your personal journey through the vibrant and illuminating world of the Tarot.  More than simply exploring card meanings, Paul creates a “soul classroom,” by drawing parallels between the Tarot archetypes and practical wisdom teachings of the world’s great mystical traditions. 

*This course will not focus on Tarot for prediction.

Session 1
What is the Tarot? Benefits of using the Tarot. Brief Tarot history. Card-shuffling techniques. Identifying your “Teacher” card. Recognizing and avoiding Tarot “traps”. Upright vs. reversed cards. Four suits: Wands/Fire, Cups/Water, Swords/Air, Pentacles/Earth.

Session 2
Fool, Magician, High Priestess, Emperor, Empress and corresponding cards in the Minor Arcana.

Session 3
Heirophant, Lovers, Chariot, Strength and corresponding cards in the Minor Arcana.

Session 4
Hermit, Wheel of Fortune, Justice, Hanged Man and corresponding cards in the Minor Arcana.

Session 5
Death, Temperance, Devil, Tower and corresponding cards in the Minor Arcana.

Session 6
Star, Moon, Sun, Judgment, World and corresponding cards in the Minor Arcana.

About the Instructor: Paul Quinn, author of Tarot for Life, has been reading the cards since 2000. He has appeared on radio programs internationally and is a frequent speaker at the Theosophical Society, Swedenborg Library, Institute for Noetic Sciences and other organizations.

Prerequisite: No prior Tarot experience is necessary.

Materials: We will be using the Rider-Waite Universal deck featured in Tarot for Life. Though you will need a Tarot deck, purchasing this particular one is not required.

Interactive: You will have the opportunity to send Paul your questions and comments and receive his response live, on-camera.

 Archives: Miss a class? No problem. With your password you can access any class at any time that is convenient for you.
