First established in the late 1920’s, the Seattle branch has nearly 7,000 books, audiotapes and videos. The lending library is a wonderful resource!
Many subjects are covered in great depth. In addition to the comprehensive collection of Theosophical literature, the library has many rare and unique books on a wide range of metaphysical subjects, including Comparative Religion, Gnosticism, Yoga, Spirituality, Mysticism, Parapsychology, Esoteric Philosophy, as well as books on the Celtic tradition, the Healing Arts, Alchemy, Astrology, Meditation, and the life beyond death.
Library membership is included with Lodge membership, if you are a member in good standing at both the local and national lodges. The general public can join our library for $30 per year, with a discount for renewals if membership is kept current. Just now we offer a special opportunity to join or renew library membership for two years for $35!
We are seeking someone with special skills in book binding and book sewing who might be willing to work on some of our older gems.
We also have an ongoing need of willing helpers for a variety of library related tasks –overseeing the library during open hours; book repair, and special projects.
