Sharing Love Family Celebration

Friday, February 21,  4:00 – 5:30 p.m.

February is the time to celebrate the themes of love and kindness – towards both Self and others. It also marks the halfway point in winter, shining the way towards springtime. Join us for this special family celebration as we connect to the love we hold within ourselves and share the love we feel for all beings, nature, and our community.  Enjoy an inspired, love-themed, nature art activity where we find images of love in nature and create a community love collage with nature-found objects and leave our love stamp in nature. We will also engage in story-telling, a special song and dance, and craft love messages for ourselves.

Genis Schmidt has been leading seasonal celebrations for over seven years and has taught outdoor education and nature-based spirituality to children. She is mentored in the Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) and has been trained in teaching DUP to children. Shantal Alonso provides mindfulness education to youth and families to empower them with the tools to thrive in their personal, academic, and professional lives. For more information visit
