It has been said that to know Truth one must become it, and that only by making the effort to know things as they are will that which was once hidden be revealed—not as a body of knowledge, but as direct experience; in N. Sri Ram’s words, as “Wisdom which springs from the depths of a certain nature in ourselves.” If we are honest, our day-to-day life is not flooded with Wisdom. Self-deception, selfishness, and attachment are some of the characteristics of a dormant heart, not ready for Truth. So, how can this human being that we are, this “God in exile,” arrive to the experience of being one with Nature and subject to all her laws, no different than a galaxy? How can this microcosm that you and I are know itself enough to know the power and beauty of the entire universe? In this talk, we will explore these questions from a theosophical perspective.
