The Science of Heaven with Robert Temple 9.15.22Robert Temple is one of the most intrepid writers and thinkers of our time. Best known for his top-selling work The Sirius Mystery, he has written books on Chinese science, ancient Egyptian wisdom, and the baffling astronomical knowledge of the Dogon people of West Africa.

In his latest book, A New Science of Heaven, Temple explores a topic on the scientific vanguard—plasma.

A gas composed of positive ions and free electrons, plasma makes up 99 percent of the matter of the universe. This interview, with Quest magazine editor Richard Smoley, will delve into this fascinating and provocative theme, including its implications for the human biome and esoteric ideas about the etheric body. Temple’s picture of plasma will overturn your current view of the universe.

Robert TempleRobert Temple is the author of the new book A New Science of Heaven (Hodder & Stoughton). He has published many books and papers, and is particularly known for his early book The Sirius Mystery. His book The Genius of China, about 3,000 years of inventions and discoveries of the Chinese, has been published in forty-four languages and in six Chinese translations, and by UNESCO in minority languages. He and his wife Olivia are the authors of Aesop: The Complete Fables (a Penguin Classic) and The Sphinx Mystery. They have both done archaeometric work in Egypt and Robert has decoded the threefold geometrical enigma of the Giza Plateau in Egyptian Dawn and presented the clear evidence that the dates of the Old Kingdom require revision. Robert was appointed visiting professor of the history and philosophy of science at Tsinghua University in Beijing and adjunct professor of humanities, history, and philosophy of science at an American university. He is chairman of the Ancient Egypt Foundation, which is funding the cleaning and restoration of the astronomical ceiling at the Temple of Khnum at Esna on the Nile.
