Ancient Wisdom for Todays Innovators with Rabb Stanton 1 17 23Entrepreneurs and people building new programs, organizations, and creative ventures tend to experience uniquely intense combinations of emotions: exhaustion, elation, anger, frustration, confusion, uplift. Rabbi Josh seeks to bring Jewish texts and ideas into conversation with the lived experience of those seeding innovation in their respective fields. These include passages from the Tanakh, Talmud, and Midrash; and commentaries from great Jewish thinkers – ancient and contemporary alike. While these teachings come from the Jewish tradition, they are applicable and accessible to people from all walks of life.

This presentation will not be political in nature, but instead will home in on the human process of creating, with all of its theological, social, and emotional implications. 

Rabbi Joshua StantonRabbi Joshua Stanton is spiritual leader of East End Temple and Senior Fellow of CLAL – The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership. He is coauthor of Awakenings: American Jewish Transformations in Identity, Leadership, and Belonging and has been featured in documentary films, articles, book chapters, publications, and television in over a dozen languages.  and has been featured in documentary films, articles, book chapters, publications, and television in over a dozen languages. Rabbi Stanton serves on the Board of Trustees of the Interfaith Youth Core and the Board of Governors of the International Jewish Committee for Interreligious Consultations, which liaises on behalf of Jewish communities worldwide with the Vatican, World Council of Churches, and other international religious organizations.
