About Us
Quest Magazine
is a magazine published by the Theosophical Society in America that explores philosophy, religion, science, and the arts. Our philosophical perspective is that of the Ageless Wisdom, and the unifying theme is the concept of wholeness; we hold the view that there is but One Life, and all of life is interrelated.

Spiritual Telepathy: Ancient Techniques to Access the Wisdom of Your Soul
by Colleen Mauro

News from the Library
In 1926, our international president Annie Besant and her protege Krishnamurti visited Chicago for a Theosophical Society convention, and then went to Wheaton to lay the cornerstone for the headquarters building. These events were recorded as a 35-mm film, and we are excited to announce that the film is being digitized! DVD copies will eventually be available for borrowing from the Henry S. Olcott Memorial Library.

This is an expensive project, costing over $1,300, and we would be grateful for tax-deductible contributions to support this and other archival projects. Simply select "Archives Dept" as the donation fund on our website, or send checks to the Theosophical Society in America, PO Box 270, Wheaton IL 60187-0270, with a notation of "archival preservation." If you have questions about the film, contact Janet Kerschner at archives@theosophical.org or 630-668-1571, ext 353.

Gaining Insight through Silence
May 25, 7 p.m.
with John Cianciosi

What we call intuition arises spontaneously not from thought, but from the silence and stillness of mind. Through study and careful reflection we can prepare the foundation, but for the arising of deep understanding, we need to feel intimately comfortable with the silence from which thought arises.

Summer National Convention

Nature is alive. Nature is conscious. These truths are fundamental concepts in the perennial Wisdom Tradition. They have been known for millennia. But in recent times, we have lost touch with them. How can we revitalize our relationship with the living universe? How can we foster a spiritual ecology within ourselves and in our world?
