This four session introductory course is designed to acquaint new students with these terms and themes, and to provide a refresher course for already experienced students. We will use the textbook Gurdjieff Unveiled: an Overview and Introduction to the Teaching. This text is available as a free download from the Theosophical Society in America website.

Quantum physics and mechanics, the holographic universe, and fractal interpretations of life all seem to be very new, exotic and contemporary. These “contemporary ideas” were taught as realties thousands of years ago. We actually live in many holographic universes at the same time.

He is currently the Abbot of the Hongaku Jodo Compassionate Lotus Tradition and Director of Buddhist Education for the Hongaku Institute for Buddhist Studies. Although he has a long career in the Mahayana traditions, Sensei Mui stays faithful to the early Buddhist scriptures.

He is the author of over twenty papers on Beelzebub’s Tales to His Grandson and the book My Live with Mr. Beelzebub. Two Souls: Solar and Lunar

Join us for an esoteric course with an emphasis on applying sacred ideas rather than simply describing them. The text for the course is Ocke de Boer’s Two Souls, where he connects ancient wisdom and the development of the 'Solar Soul' and the 'Lunar Soul' as seen through Gurdjieff's teachings but also related to Theosophical principles. We will explore the practical possibilities and means for creating a second body in great depth. Topics include how to live freely, playing a role, learning to use time, planes, how to really incarnate, inner considering, self-remembering, and creating moon in oneself.
Ocke de Boer is the author of Higher Being Bodies and Two Souls. He studied esotericism in Amsterdam for 4 years at a Raja Yoga school for Universal Thinking, the school of Saswitha. He gained a general education on philosophy, religion and esoteric systems there, without getting lost in any of them. He combines these many systems of knowledge in Higher Being Bodies and Two Souls.

This ongoing reading and discussion group meets to study the teachings of Sri Madhava Ashish (1920-1997) and his gurus. Born in Scotland, Ashish joined the RAF and served in India, staying on after WWII to pursue the spiritual life. He became a disciple of Sri Krishna Prem and assumed leadership of the Mirtola Ashram after Prem’s death in 1965.
We are currently studying Man, the Measure of All Things by Sri Krishna Prem and Sri Madhava Ashish. This book throws a new and searching light upon the Stanzas of Dzyan, and students of H.P. Blavatsky may find it coincides with the material written in The Secret Doctrine.
“This is the real purpose of the ancient cosmogonies,” say the authors, “to invite us to turn our gaze inwards to the source and origin both of the ‘outer’ universe of phenomena and of the ‘inner’ universe of consciousness, … and above all, to fathom the ultimate mystery of selfhood.” Join us as we continue our investigation of this fascinating book, a study for all serious Theosophists.
