Investigating Collective Consciousness at the Global Scale Dean Radin 5.23.24From 1998 through 2015, the Global Consciousness Project investigated the role of collective consciousness on the behavior of the physical world. The physical part of the experiment was a worldwide network of electronic devices that produce data every second. The mental part consisted of events that attracted the attention of millions to billions of people through live media broadcasts. The idea was to see if such events, when collective mental awareness can be said to become “coherent,” are related to similar changes that arise in the physical world.

The experiment resulted in strong evidence that there is indeed a relationship, and more recent analyses have found that stock market indices and daily news metrics also correlate to changes in these physical devices. The implication is that mind-matter interactions occur at a global scale, suggesting that group meditations for peace and other large-scale intentional efforts affect the physical world in subtle ways.
