In 1897, John Dewey laid the foundation for progressive education by questioning the nature and purpose of schooling, learning, and its role in a democratic society. Building on his visionary approach, this lecture offers a theosophical response to today’s educational challenges. As humanity stands at a pivotal point in its evolutionary journey, we will explore the development of a theosophical educational creed for an age of transformation.
This lecture will delve into questions of individual and collective growth through the lens of theosophy, drawing connections between education and spiritual evolution. Topics will include educational futures, K–12 and adult learning, transformative and pervasive education models, and how democratic principles align with theosophical ideals. Participants will be invited to reflect on how education can become a vehicle for inner awakening and societal progress in a rapidly changing world.
