Christianity and Reincarnation Can They Coexist Don MacGregor October 16 1It is well known that the concept of Reincarnation is part of Eastern spiritual traditions such as Hinduism and Buddhism, but is it possible that it was once also part of early Christian belief? In this lecture, retired Christian priest and mystic student Don MacGregor will delve into the historical, scriptural, and theological evidence that suggests it may have been. He will examine biblical passages and early Church writings, as well as key figures throughout history who have argued in favor of reincarnation. He will also explore whether the Church chose to reject it, and how it did so. He will consider the implications for Christian theology if Reincarnation were to be taken on board as a doctrine. What would have to change and how would it reshape our understanding of salvation? In this regard, the Perennial Wisdom Philosophy will provide some guidance.

Don MacGregorDon MacGregor is a retired Christian priest and an avid student of the Perennial Wisdom tradition. His ministry in the Church was in the Midlands UK, then in Wales, which is where he now lives. His early career was as science teacher and youth worker in schools and this has informed his spiritual search. He has written several books including Blue Sky God: The Evolution of Science and Christianity with the vision of updating Christianity for the 21st Century and seeing it as a more universal spiritual path that Jesus taught.
