Examining the Eternal Wheel of Life, Death, Bondage and Liberation

Saturdays, 1:00 – 4:00 pm CT.
October 18 – October 25 (2 classes)

Examining the Eternal Wheel of Life Death Bondage and Liberation Dr. Eugene Jennings Oct 18This two-part class provides a concise view of the grand journey of life, exploring the cycles of life, death, and rebirth through the lens of Theosophy. It focuses on the immortality of the Monad (Eternal Soul) and the concepts of karma and reincarnation. We will guide participants through the “stations of life,” from birth to death, including after-death states and the process of rebirth.

The class also explores the entities and beings associated with the astral-ethereal realms and their interaction with the physical realm. We will delve into the evolutionary process of egoic awakening, from the mineral state to human and post-human stages, including higher consciousness and partial liberation.

By exploring these ideas, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the transformative potential of the soul and develop a renewed curiosity about their place in the continuum of life.

Syllabus

Week 1

  • Theosophical views on the sequential stages and processes traversed by egoic souls during their obligatory journey around the wheel of life, death, and rebirth
  • The subjective entities and beings existing within the so-called astral and etheric realms of existence

Week 2

  • The monadic ego as an evolutionary pilgrim, awakening its abilities, as it moves through the kingdoms and developmental stages of life. We will begin with the mineral realms and work our way to the Dhyanic state or kingdom of evolutionary progression and awakening.
  • The great choice each one will finally face: Do we blindly continue this human experience, bound by ignorance, pain, suffering, and delusions, to the cycles of life and karmas? Or do we choose to redirect our energies towards wisdom, liberation, and service of life?
