Tim Wyatt will be in conversation with Dr Edi Bilimoria about his lifelong work in that most theosophical of tasks – synthesising philosophy, science and religion. The interview will focus on how the Ageless Wisdom teachings – the Perennial Philosophy – has guided mankind down the millennia, shaping spiritual and scientific practices and human consciousness itself.
Much of the interview will focus on Dr Bilimoria’s ground-breaking and monumental four-volume work Unfolding Consciousness, the result of more than two decades of research into how the mind principle has been developed and deployed.
The interview will explore the current gulf between the current predominantly materialistic scientific paradigm which regards consciousness as a purely physical phenomenon and the spiritual/theosophical assertion that consciousness creates matter. It will also touch on the emerging scientific revolution which is beginning to challenge existing scientific orthodoxy.
Dr. Edi Bilimoria is an award-winning engineer and consultant to the petrochemical, transportation, and construction industries. He has been Project Manager and Head of Design for major innovative projects such as the Channel Tunnel, London Underground systems, petrochemical plants, and offshore installations. A student of the Wisdom Tradition for more than 50 years, he has given courses and lectured extensively in the UK and internationally. His book The Snake and the Rope was awarded a prize by the Scientific and Medical Network (SMN).
His latest four volume work, Unfolding Consciousness: Exploring the Living Universe and Intelligent Powers in Nature and Humans, constitutes a watershed in the history of science, contrasting Science with Perennial Philosophy on Consciousness and Man, drawing on a galaxy of world-class authorities. In 2023, this work, consisting of four volumes, was awarded the SMN’s Grand Prize. Applauded by many, it is considered to be the most penetrating and all-embracing work on consciousness written in decades.
