During these turbulent times, we are sometimes tempted to escape from the challenges that our Soul is experiencing in this incarnation. It is difficult to appreciate the lessons if you are always trying to escape the place where the lessons are occurring.
Ultimately we don’t “go to heaven”; rather, our souls grow into the awareness of heaven as a state of being. The growth process for souls involves many stages. Each soul age, from young soul to old soul, has a set of values and its own developmental learning challenges.
Souls who have matured spiritually are often called “old souls,” which relates to how their consciousness has evolved to become more inclusive, wise, and loving. Other characteristics increase as a soul matures, including intuition, awareness, selflessness, and humility. The goal of reincarnation is spiritual wholeness.
