Saturday, March 28, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. CT
In this heart-centered workshop, we will draw upon the luminous guidance of three beloved Sufi sages—Rumi, Hafez, and Rabia—to navigate life’s challenges with deeper wisdom and compassion.
Through the sharing of Sufi quotes, teachings, and stories, we will explore how their timeless insights can help us move from “knowledge of the tongue” to “knowledge of the heart.”
This workshop will include reflective dialogue, experiential practices, and gentle contemplative exercises designed to awaken presence, resilience, meaning, and joy.
Discover how to:
- Engage with authentic quotes and teachings from Rumi, Hafez, and Rabia
- Apply Sufi wisdom to contemporary personal and emotional challenges
- Cultivate heart-centered awareness, compassion, and resilience
- Use reflective and contemplative practices to find meaning and joy in hardship
Participants will leave this workshop with practical spiritual tools, inspiration rooted in authentic Sufi teachings, and a renewed sense of inner grounding to support them in difficult times.

Imam Jamal Rahman is a popular speaker on Islam, Sufi spirituality, and interfaith relations. Along with his Interfaith Amigos, he has been featured in the New York Times, CBS News, BBC, and various NPR programs. Jamal is co-founder and Muslim Sufi minister at Interfaith Community Sanctuary and adjunct faculty at Seattle University. He is a former co-host of Interfaith Talk Radio and travels nationally and internationally, presenting at retreats and workshops. Jamal's passion lies in interfaith community building. He remains rooted in his Islamic tradition and cultivates a "spaciousness" by being open to the beauty and wisdom of other faiths. Through an authentic and appreciative understanding of other paths, Jamal feels that he becomes a better Muslim and a more developed human being. This spaciousness is not about conversion, but about completion. Jamal is also an author of several books. He has been collaborating with Rabbi Laura Duhan Kaplan and Pastor Don Mackenzie as they tour the country sharing the message of spiritual inclusivity.
