Billie Topa Tate, a Native American Author and founder of the MSI Wellness Center in Evanston, Illinois, offers a deeply rooted four-part online meditation series shaped by the sacred traditions of her Mescalero Apache heritage. Drawing upon the ceremonial teachings and oral wisdom passed down from her Native elders, Billie infuses each session with indigenous practices that honor the natural world, ancestral guidance, and the spirit within. Her unique approach blends ancient Indigenous philosophy with heartfelt storytelling, sacred ceremonies, and traditional meditative techniques. This immersive experience guides participants on a path of healing and connection, fostering inner peace, spiritual empowerment, and a harmonious relationship with the Earth and all living beings.

Billie Topa Tate is the founder of MSI Wellness Center. She is Mescalero Apache and is dedicated to “Creating a Sacred Place One Person at a Time” through the indigenous native teachings of her teachers. Billie has lectured and taught at Northwestern University, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and more. Syllabus
Week 1: Introduction to Native American Meditation Practices
In the foundational sessions, participants are introduced to the indigenous principles of Native American meditation, focusing on the importance of sacred breath, energetic intention, and connection to the Earth. Billie shares teachings passed down through generations, emphasizing the role of mindfulness in maintaining balance, harmony and being guided by higher thought. The session includes a guided meditation to ground participants and prepare them for the journey ahead.
Week 2: Energy Awareness and Protection
This week delves into native teachings regarding our personal energy field and the significance of protecting and advocating our inner light. Participants learn techniques to clear stressful energies and establish energy boundaries, fostering a safe space for spiritual growth. Billie incorporates practices such as smudging and visualization to empower individuals in maintaining their energetic integrity.
Week 3: Connecting with Our Spirit Guides
Building upon previous sessions, this week focuses on developing a deeper connection with spirit guides and ancestral wisdom. Through storytelling and guided practices, participants are encouraged to open their hearts and minds to receive guidance from the virtuous spirit world. Billie shares insights into the role of spirit guides in healing and personal development.
Week 4: Integration and Daily Practice
The final session emphasizes integrating the teachings into daily life. Participants are guided in creating personalized meditation practices that align with their individual needs and lifestyles. Billie offers tools and resources to support continued growth, ensuring that the wisdom gained from the series becomes a lasting part of each participant's journey.
