We're very excited to announce the start of a new program run by the Henry S. Olcott Memorial Library! Each month, the library will be featuring two different online video segments. In How I Became a Theosophist, Dan Smolla will talk with theosophists about their early experiences with theosophy and various theosophical concepts. In Featured Favorites from the library, theosophists will discuss some of their favorite books from our library's catalog.
The Special Members' Event has been scheduled for July 18th, it has changed its time from the morning; it is now after lunch at 1:00 pm. This time has been confirmed with the Office of Tibet. Due to the short time between the end of the program and the Members’ Event it is recommended that members do not leave the theater. We have arranged with the Harris Theater to provide for a boxed vegetarian lunch for purchase. Check back on the website for updates as to cost of the lunch. Attendance at the event will be restricted to members of the Theosophical Society who have purchased tickets for the Harris Theater panel discussion.
Some additional notes:For those who have purchased a bus ticket, the bus will leave the national headquarters, 1926 N Main Street, Wheaton. Please arrive 30 minutes early - Sunday the bus leaves at 11:30 am and Monday at 7:30 am. If you have not purchased a bagged lunch or breakfast, you may want to bring a snack and drink for the ride down to the event. You may leave your bags, belongings and snacks on the bus during the talks, they will not leave the venue.
Proceeds in excess of the cost of the Dalai Lama Event will be given to the Tibet Fund, a United States based nonprofit providing humanitarian and educational support for Tibetan refugees around the world. Please Donate to the Dalai Lama Event, and select Tibet Fund.

The Theosophical Order of Service would like to remind you of the 3rd International TOS Workers’ Conference that will take place July 23–26, 2013, at Olcott, the national center of the TSA, in Wheaton, immediately following the TSA’s Summer National Convention. All TOS office bearers, liaisons, and workers at the international, national, or local level are welcome to attend. Be prepared to be actively involved throughout the conference!
During the conference, we will review the current international plan of action and ensure that it takes into account the needs of each country for 2014–18. Another important goal of the gathering is to identify ways of giving greater support to Theosophists in their service endeavors. By involving each participant in implementing part of the plan of action, we aim to deepen links among active TOS workers and increase the effectiveness of their collaboration.
There will be a variety of programs and workshops offered, such as “Deep Listening†and “Social Action as Spiritual Practice.†Keynote addresses, “Creative Meditation: Balancing Inner and Outer Action†and “The TOS One Hundred Years from Now,†will be given by Maria Parisen and Vicente Hao Chin, Jr., respectively.
