Join us as we delve into some of the fundamental teachings of several major religious traditions and the principles that they share with Theosophy. Explore the concepts of a universal wisdom known as the Ageless Wisdom, which encompasses knowledge about the divine nature of the universe and humanity.
Each month the group will reflect on the selected chapter/s of the study guide Theosophy and World Religions. During the meeting specific passages will be shared and discussed. Facilitators
Barbara Hebert, PhD, is a third-generation Theosophist who has been involved in local, regional, and national offices throughout her years of membership, including two terms as the National President of the Theosophical Society in America. She has also had a long career as a mental health practitioner and educator.
Jayne Fleener, PhD, is a career educator, scholar and futurist. She is currently Dean and Professor Emerita at North Carolina State University. Her recent book Learning and Leading in an Age of Transformation is published in the Living in an Age of Transformation series where she serves as co-editor. Anne Sermons Gillis is a minister, coach, and the author of five books. She has been a student of perennial wisdom since the 1960’s. She is the past president of the Houston Lodge and current vice president of the Theosophical Order of Service. She is a national speaker for the TSA.
Stephen Braun is a writer, photographer, and cultural audience development specialist based in New York City. A Life Member of the Theosophical Society, he is on the Board of the New York City Lodge and a member of the Washington, D.C. Lodge. He has a strong curiosity for astrology and astrological archetypes embedded in wisdom traditions.
Susanne Hoepfl-Wellenhofer is the Eastern Board of Directors of the TSA and current president of the D.C. Lodge. She is an active contributor to the Online School of Theosophy and the Theosophy Wiki, and is a mentor in the TSA Prison Mentorship Program. She has a law degree and a master’s degree in educational technology. Personal website:
Lejla Ćatović is a multinational polyglot from Bosnia. She holds a creative writing degree and a Death Doula certification. Lejla has facilitated meditations, led women's groups, and practiced yoga for over 10 years. She is a member of the NY and DC lodges, and has published an essay titled “On Theosophy” in the Encyclopedia of Radical Helping.
Linda Dorr is the Central Board of Directors of the TSA and current president of the Wheaton-Olcott Lodge. She volunteers in the Olcott Library and Archives, and actively contributes to the research and writing for the Theosophy Wiki. She finds theosophy endlessly fascinating — and, perhaps more important, highly meaningful.
